Back End Developer; API Engineering

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‑quality software solutions on AWS. Own features end‑to‑end, from design and implementation through production deployment and support. Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, QA, SRE, and downstream partner teams. Follow engineering standards, coding best practices, and security guidelines.

• Strong backend development experience with API‑driven architectures.
• Solid understanding of system design, data flow, and service‑to‑service communication.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and well‑documented code.

• Hands‑on experience designing and building solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong working knowledge of core AWS services, including VPC, IAM, and Security Groups.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Cloud Formation, Terraform, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments in AWS environments.
• Understanding of cloud cost awareness, scalability, resiliency, and fault‑tolerant design.

• Strong focus on code quality, automated testing, and defect prevention.
• Awareness of security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance expectations.
• Performance tuning and reliability mindset for production systems.

• Own production systems, including monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis.
• Proactively identify operational risks and drive remediation.
• Improve observability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise overall team capability.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, delivery processes, and operational standards.

• Hands‑on experience using Microsoft Copilot and AI‑assisted development tools in daily engineering work.
• Ability to write effective prompts for code generation, refactoring, test creation and automation, debugging, and documentation.
• Apply AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
• Understand AI limitations, risks, and governance considerations in enterprise development.

• Continuously upskill in modern cloud, AWS, and engineering practices.
• Adapt to evolving expectations such as AI‑enabled development and automation.
• Proactively improve technical depth and system‑level understanding.
