Experienced Android Developer

Position: Experienced Android Developer at MapsPeople
Take the next step in your career as a Senior Android Developer with Maps People, where you will focus on building robust SDKs with Kotlin. Collaborate across teams to drive the evolution of our mobile platform.

In this role, you will be involved in the complete cycle of SDK development, from feature implementation to bug fixes. You will work closely with other engineers, contributing to architectural decisions and promoting maintainable best practices. Your extensive experience will help ensure that our SDKs are reliable and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement features in our Android SDK with Kotlin

• Maintain and resolve issues in existing SDKs

• Transition Java code to Kotlin to improve system performance

• Participate in the creation of new versions using Kotlin Multiplatform

• Enhance map functionality utilizing Mapbox or Google Maps

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in Android development

• Deep knowledge of Kotlin and Java interoperability

• Hands-on SDK or framework development experience

• Understanding of Kotlin Coroutines and structured concurrency

• Exposure to Flutter and React Native is beneficial
