Job Description Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
• Translate technical system specifications into working, tested applications including detailed programming specifications, code generation, compiling data‑driven programs, maintaining, and unit testing.
• Resolve and troubleshoot technical problems arising during the use and operation of software packages, including implementation, conversion, and migrations.

• Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level.
• Ability to collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications.
• Experience designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting applications.
• Experience in the use of object and/or third‑generation language development tools.
• Experience in one or more programming languages.
• Experience in application design, latest design patterns, deployment and troubleshooting.
• Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
• Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages.
• Experience with one or more communications protocols.
• Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Experience with application architecture, front‑end & back‑end integration, and API development.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.

• Proficient with both front‑end and back‑end development, including database design/management and Dev Ops.
• Knowledge and experience with design and implementation of the overall web architecture.
• Experience implementing approved user interfaces, design and deployment of databases.
• Experience ensuring the entire stack is built for speed and scalability.
• Knowledge and experience with the design and construction of REST API services.
• Integrating front‑end UI with constructed API.
• Knowledge and experience in continuous integration and deployment.

• Knowledge and experience with programming Internet‑ready applications.
• Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
• Understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices.
• Experience with middleware and gateways.
• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing and debugging.
• Post‑implementation support and troubleshooting of technical issues.
• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team.
• Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
• Ability to provide user and system documentation as required.
• High level knowledge of the Angular framework and JavaScript.
• High level knowledge of front‑end interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and understanding of Swagger files.
• Ability to create self‑contained, reusable, and testable modules and components based on core Angular
  
  JS elements.
• Experience creating, designing, and implementing layouts for new and existing web pages; excellent knowledge of front‑end web programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular
  
  JS). Ability to render server‑side and client‑side content.
• Experience designing user interactions on websites and coding for mobile platforms.
• Fundamental knowledge of UX/UI.
• Ensuring front‑end code can query APIs.
• Experience with Java Web Logic, Java programming for web applications (Tomcat, Weblogic), EJB, Servlet.
• Strong database skills and SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server).
• REST and SOAP web services knowledge.
• Azure Dev Ops, JIRA, agile/scrum experience.

• Strong experience with React.
• High level knowledge of the Angular framework and JavaScript.
• High level knowledge of front‑end interfaces.
• Ability to create reusable, testable modules and components based on core Angular
