Drive embedded solutions as a Senior Firmware Engineer specializing in Matter on ESP
32. This remote role demands a minimum of 10 years of experience and ownership from design to certification.
You will lead firmware development for Matter devices using the ESP-IDF. In this senior role, you'll manage the complete device lifecycle, from schematic review and board bring-up to OTA updates and debugging processes. Your deep understanding of protocols will be essential for tackling intercultural interoperability issues within ecosystems like Apple Home and Google Home.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop production-grade firmware for Matter-enabled devices
• Oversee schematic reviews and board bring-up processes
• Debug complex hardware, firmware, and network layer interactions
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams
• Participate in certification readiness and compliance testing
Requirements:
• 10+ years in embedded firmware engineering with C/C++
• Expertise in ESP-IDF, not Arduino wrappers
• Experience implementing Matter on ESP
32 series
• Strong debugging skills across Matter ecosystems
• Familiarity with secure boot and device attestation
