Step into a pivotal role with Unity as a Backend Software Engineer in the Diagnostics Team. Your work will focus on optimizing tools that empower developers to understand and improve game performance at scale.
This senior position emphasizes your capabilities in designing and maintaining high-quality services. You'll be responsible for crafting systems that manage data from millions of game clients, contributing significantly to developer insights through robust diagnostics. Collaborating across teams like Data, IAP, and DevX will ensure effective integration that meets production demands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and optimize pipelines and data storage
• Develop and maintain scalable Go services
• Raise standards for code and review practices
• Engage with multiple teams for effective integration
• Provide mentorship and tackle ambiguous design challenges
Requirements:
• Proven experience in Go and data-heavy services
• Strong judgment in design and engineering practices
• Hands-on ability with AI coding agents
• Experience with OLAP/columnar data storage
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Contribute significantly to Unity’s diagnostics capabilities while mentoring the next generation of engineers.
