DB's Server Security team, focusing on cryptography and network security. Work either remotely or hybrid in the USA or Canada.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to contribute to our Server Security team. This role requires a deep understanding of distributed systems and cryptographic principles while collaborating across engineering and support teams. You will champion code quality and security practices to enhance our large-scale database security efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and test security features in a C++ codebase

• Collaborate with engineering and cloud services for feature rollouts

• Advocate for secure coding practices among team members

• Diagnose complex technical challenges in distributed systems

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience with distributed systems development

• Proficiency in a compiled language (C++, Rust, etc.)

• Understanding of design choices in database systems

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholder interactions
