Senior Systems Integration Engineer

About the Role:As a Senior Systems Integration Engineer at Maplecolo, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our flagship products. You will be a part of the software engineering team, responsible for a wide range of hands‑on software engineering duties, including software development, delivery, and maintenance of a tool to monitor and inspect network packets with a focus on cryptography.

- Understand of network encryption standards and protocols from OSI L2-L4
- Knowledge of software integration across an enterprise environment
- Learn and adapt both themselves and their software to evolving requirements
- Be a collaborative and transparent team member
- Contribute to the design of the software architecture and the product
- Be technically hands‑on, ready to dive into coding, troubleshooting, and developing automated solutions
- Participate in testing the product and features and developing new processes and procedures
- Strong proficiency in C++. Experience in Python, Js, and/or C
- Knowledge of post‑quantum cryptography
- Expertise in software deployment in an enterprise setting
- 5- 10 years of experience as a back‑end software engineer
- 5+ years experience in Linux
- Solid understanding of software architecture
- Solid experience with communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)
- A strong understanding of security
- You must have authorization to legally work in Canada
- Attendance at meetings during the evening
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field
- English (required)
- French (a plus)
- Putonghua (a plus)
- Cantonese (a plus)
- Salary is negotiable or based on experience
