Role Overview
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data platforms and pipelines using AWS cloud services and modern data engineering technologies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and application teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Design and build batch and real-time data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration frameworks supporting analytics and downstream applications.
- Analyze complex data and system challenges and deliver scalable, efficient, and high-performance solutions.
- Ensure best practices across data modeling, coding standards, testing, security, governance, and deployment.
- Own assigned data domains and pipelines from design through production support with minimal supervision.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and promote technical excellence.
- Evaluate and adopt new AWS services and frameworks to enhance data platform capabilities.
- 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering and ETL processes (IICS/IDMC).
- Strong hands‑on experience with Informatica IICS/IDMC.
- Proven experience in AWS Cloud services such as S3 and Lambda.
- Strong experience delivering enterprise‑scale data integration, transformation, and analytics solutions.
- Hands‑on experience in designing data warehouses and scalable ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Strong SQL and RDBMS experience (Postgre
SQL, Oracle). - Experience working independently and collaborating with global teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong hands‑on experience in IICS/IDMC (Informatica Cloud Data Integration).
- Strong programming experience in Python and SQL.
- Working knowledge of Spark / PySpark for large‑scale data processing.
- Hands‑on experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development and workflow orchestration.
- Experience with AWS data services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Step Functions, and Cloud Watch.
- Familiarity with event‑driven architecture using SQS or similar services.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Infrastructure as Code (Cloud Formation).
- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, security, access control, and data quality in AWS environments.
- Participation in after‑hours/weekend support for critical production issues on a rotation basis.
- Hybrid work model with 1 day/week at customer office.
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Engineer, Solutions Architect, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Advanced experience in AWS data ecosystem and large‑scale distributed data processing.
- Exposure to enterprise data platforms and modernization initiatives.
