The Role
We are looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to build a robust, scalable, and operational infrastructure that will enable Veeva to quickly and efficiently scale to meet the needs of our multi‑billion dollar customer base. WhatYou'll Do
- Provide in-depth software development expertise focusing on cloud architecture, design patterns, and programming
- Implement Dev Ops practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and automated deployment
- Develop, deploy, and manage CI/CD workflows, automating tasks across the full lifecycle to enhance developer experience and efficiency
- Construct, manage, and deploy infrastructure utilizing Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Recommend architectural enhancements, design, and integration solutions, and establish methodologies and best practices
- Aim to minimize the risk of reliability‑related failures, focusing on durability, availability, performance, and correctness
- 3+ years of experience in Dev Ops roles, emphasizing tooling, automation, and development of distributed systems
- Extensive experience in designing, and programming applications within an AWS Cloud environment
- Proficiency in designing and implementing applications using container and serverless technologies
- Hands‑on experience with Ansible or Terraform
- Hands‑on experience with Docker orchestrations such as Kubernetes, Open Shift
- Expertise in configuration management platforms
- Experience in developing in Python
- Proficient in programming in Java, Scala, Go, or similar languages
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Circle
CI, Codefresh - Familiarity with monitoring frameworks to track infrastructure and application health and performance
- Excellent skills in proposal writing, project estimation, presentation, and documentation
- Candidate must be in the AST, CST, or EST time zone
- Strong mentorship record, proven to make team better
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, and design

- Base pay: $90,000 - $165,000 CAD
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
