Venuiti is looking for Java Developers to join our growing engineering team in Toronto. This is a hands‑on technical role with leadership responsibility, ideal for someone who enjoys coding, mentoring, and working closely with cross‑functional teams on real‑world healthcare systems.

Fully on‑site Monday to Friday to enable close collaboration with engineering, product, and integration teams.

• Enterprise Java applications supporting healthcare system integrations
• Scalable backend services focused on performance, security, and reliability
• Long‑term projects with real‑world impact in healthcare technology

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based backend systems
• Lead by example through hands‑on development and code reviews
• Support and mentor a small team of developers
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and QA to deliver high‑quality solutions
• Participate across the SDLC: design, development, testing, and deployment
• Contribute to Dev Ops automation, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments
• Help define and improve development standards and best practices

• 6+ years of professional Java development experience
• Strong expertise in Java (Spring / Spring Boot)
• Experience building backend or integration‑heavy systems
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or No
  
  SQL)
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills
• Comfortable working in an on‑site, collaborative environment

• Experience leading or mentoring developers
• Exposure to Java 17, Spring Security
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and Dev Ops practices
• Healthcare integration experience (FHIR, HL7)
• Experience working on enterprise‑scale systems

• Canadian Citizenship is required
• Role is 100% on‑site in Toronto, ON

• Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• What is your Work Authorization (Open Work Permit, PR, Canadian Citizenship, etc.)? This is for a Security Clearance Requirement.

• Java Development: 5 years (required)

• Dev Ops and CI/CD: 5 years (preferred)
