Software Engineer – Health Sciences

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Software Engineer in the Health Sciences in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario. Our client is building a world‑class Canadian organization focused on advancing data‑driven innovation in healthcare and life sciences.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems and applications.
• Build high‑performance data pipelines and backend services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, and data specialists.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical strategy.
• Improve system reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and champion engineering best practices.
• Help shape the future technical direction of a growing organization.

• Strong software development experience in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or similar.
• Experience building scalable cloud‑native applications and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and system design.
• Experience working within mature engineering environments and high‑performing technology teams.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
