Software Development Engineer II, Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) - Workforce Optimization

Amazon engineers are working relentlessly to make Click to Deliver as fast as possible. AFT builds large‑scale, fault‑tolerant distributed systems to optimize labor planning in fulfillment operations. This role builds and improves systems that provide real‑time data and insights to fulfillment center operators and software services for staffing and planning.

• Partner with product managers, software engineers, UX designers, and other teams.
• Write code and mentor junior engineers, committing code to the program.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development cycle including scoping, design, implementation, testing, and delivery.
• Improve systems that help fulfill centers operate efficiently and enable staff planning.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience, including reliability and scaling.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience—coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Base salary range: CAN, ON, Toronto –  –  CAD annually. Total compensation may include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
