Lead Java Architect - Event-Driven Systems

Drive innovation as a Lead Java Architect, focusing on event-driven applications utilizing Kafka and Azure. This role is available in Toronto, Ontario, combining architecture with cloud solutions.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer/Architect to oversee the design and operational aspects of scalable cloud applications. You will take ownership of key architectural decisions involving messaging strategies and data processing while ensuring application reliability and performance. A strong background in Java development and cloud services is essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect event-driven systems with Kafka and Spring Boot

• Define service interaction and manage non-functional requirements

• Develop and deploy services in Microsoft Azure

• Implement effective CI/CD strategies and unit testing

• Tune SQL queries and optimize database persistence

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years in backend or distributed systems

• At least 3 years working with Java and Spring Boot

• Deep knowledge of Kafka (2+ years)

• SQL Server optimization experience (4+ years)

• Proficiency in Python programming
