Senior Java Developer (with AWS skills)

This is with a global IT services firm for a leading investment/wealth management services firm. Client Location is downtown Toronto Ontario, close to TTC and GO service. Hybrid
- In Office 4 days per week. Contract - 6 months, possible renewal. Target rate range: $70-80hr on B2B.

Manage timelines/deliverables within the team towards the successful delivery of projects.

Design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff and peers to understand requirements.

Develop solutions that are in line with client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.

Provide knowledge transfer to team members and support staff through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation.

Experience working within Capital Market OR Investment Mgnt domain.

Must have

• Very strong in Java development - backend development mainly.
• Good analysis / coding and designing skills.
• Should have experience on CDCI pipeline on AWS stack. (Good knowledge on EKS required)
• Proven expertise in software design and system analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to write high-quality, maintainable code.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work out of Toronto office 4 days/week (Mon to Thurs).
• Experience working within Capital Market OR Investment Mgnt domain.

Nice to have

• Experience working within Capital Market OR Investment Mgnt domain
  - Understanding of securities and derivatives.
• Experience with Python development.
