Join Scotiabank's award-winning technology team as a Software Engineer focused on Python and PL-SQL. Your expertise will enhance Risk and Margin platforms in capital markets.
In this role, you'll partner with business teams to understand needs and conduct assessments. With over four years of experience in backend development, you will write specifications, implement code, and improve solutions. Engage in all project phases while communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with end users to assess requirements
• Deliver new solutions and enhance existing applications
• Design test sets and automate wherever possible
• Produce actionable specifications during project life cycles
• Support production solutions as necessary
Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years of backend development experience
• Strong background in database technologies (MSSQL, Postgres)
• Familiarity with Messaging Frameworks, i.e., IBM MQ
• Experience in real-time, low-latency systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
