Senior People Soft Developer

Location:

Toronto, ON (Onsite) Mode: 12-Month Contract Position Overview

The successful candidate will work within an Agile, multidisciplinary team to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality digital solutions that support critical government business operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands‑on experience with People Soft development tools, Oracle databases, integration technologies, and Fluid UI, along with a solid understanding of People Soft HCM modules and enterprise application architecture.

• Participate as a senior member of an Agile, cross‑functional team comprising Solution Designers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers
• Design, develop, enhance, test, implement, and maintain enterprise People Soft HCM applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Develop scalable and secure digital solutions supporting large‑scale ERP and Case Management initiatives
• Build interactive dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions to improve operational reporting and decision‑making
• Design and develop custom People Soft components, interfaces, workflows, and integrations to support evolving business requirements
• Configure and customize People Soft Fluid UI, including navigation collections, homepages, tiles, dashboards, Activity Guides, and role‑based security
• Develop technical specifications, application designs, and supporting documentation for new functionality and system enhancements
• Support system integration testing, unit testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and production deployments
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and recommend optimal technical solutions
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long‑term solutions to improve system performance and stability
• Participate in code reviews, technical walkthroughs, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Extensive experience developing and supporting Oracle People Soft HCM application
• Strong knowledge of the People Soft HCM modules, including Absence Management, Time & Labor, Benefits Administration, Payroll
• Hands‑on experience with People Soft development tools, including Application Designer, People Tools, People Soft Application Engine, Integration Broker, QRBI Publish
• Experience configuring and developing People Soft Fluid User Interface (Fluid UI), including Navigation Collections, Homepages, Tiles, Activity Guides, and Role‑Based Security
• Strong understanding of People Soft security architecture, workflow, and application configuratio
• Experience using People Soft Update Manager (PUM), Change Assistant, and Data Move
• Strong Oracle Database development and administration knowledge, including SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience supporting all phases of the SDLC, including design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, and production support
• Experience preparing technical specifications, technical design documents, and unit test documentation
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skill

• Experience supporting large‑scale ERP modernization initiative
• Experience developing enterprise reporting and dashboard solution
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environment
• Experience with in the Ontario Public Sector or large government organizations is considered an asset
