Position: Senior Java Developer to support update of 19 applications with client in investment management industry

Contract: 6 Months + Extension

Hours: 37.5

Work Model: 4 days in office

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java applications supporting data integration with Murex and other systems.

Implement data transformation and massaging logic to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and global team members to deliver high-quality solutions.

Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex issues.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices for Java development.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of professional experience in Java development (Java 8+).

Strong understanding of data integration
, ETL processes
, and API development
.

Experience with Spring Framework
, RESTful services
, and multithreaded applications
.

Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.

Knowledge of Murex or similar financial systems is a strong asset.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a distributed team environment.

Nice-to-Have

Exposure to investment banking
, capital markets
, or risk systems
.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
.

Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, MQ).
