Software Development Engineer, Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) - Outbound POPS

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies builds software, hardware, and processes that support the most labor‑intensive warehouse function: picking items for orders. The Outbound group in Toronto develops mission‑critical software that operates in real‑time environments, making decisions that impact thousands of staff and billions of items shipped each year.

As a software engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for more than just writing code. You will operate a high‑availability platform where downtime costs millions, work closely with users to understand domain challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and optimization, and design practical technology solutions to real problems.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new or existing systems (including design patterns, reliability, and scalability).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
