API Test Lead

Position: API Test Lead Role at Wipro
Wipro is looking for a Test Lead focused on API testing as part of a hybrid team. This role demands expertise in programming and automation to enhance backend service quality through robust frameworks.

As an SDET with 5-8 years of experience, you will design automation frameworks and execute tests for REST and SOAP APIs. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment, ensuring that testing strategies align with development objectives and that backend data are validated using SQL queries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain reusable automation frameworks for APIs

• Develop and run automated tests to ensure API performance

• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure Dev Ops

• Collaborate with developers to refine acceptance criteria

• Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers in best practices

Requirements:

• 5-8 years in QA Automation or SDET roles

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or relevant programming languages

• Experience with tools like Postman and Karate

• Knowledge of test automation and BDD frameworks

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
