Software Engineering Co-op - Fall

We have 1x role available for the September-December 2026 term.

This is a hybrid role – Tuesday & Thursday in our office in Liberty Village.

About Achievers Our employee recognition and engagement platform serves 4+ million users in 190 countries worldwide. Some of our clients include Air Canada, Scotia bank, CVS, Tesla, and McDonald’s.

• Build, own and maintain new innovative product features by building POCs and testing new ideas.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers, receiving regular mentorship, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Live in Git Hub creating pull requests, reviewing code, merging branches, and generally be a team player by seeking out and providing feedback.
• Develop and test new features that help scale our user data and HR integration services.
• Create automated test cases using Go and Python to improve reliability and speed up our release cycles.
• Contribute to backend development using Go (Golang) – building APIs, fixing bugs, and integrating with microservices.
• Assist with UI updates and enhancements, learning front‑end fundamentals with React.
• Gain experience with frameworks and services such as Docker, Kubernetes, Google Pub/Sub, and more.

• Currently enrolled in a co‑op program in Software Engineering or a similar relevant field.
• Proactiveness and enthusiasm to ask questions, seek feedback, and support the team with a variety of tasks.
• Passion for Software Engineering and a drive to learn and grow.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer Science or related degree.
• Prior co‑op experience.

• Advanced prior co‑op experience. Year 3 or 4.
• Experience in the following programming languages or similar:
  Python, Go, React.
• Experience working in an Agile environment using Jira.
• Prior experience with Git Hub, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Prior exposure to microservices.

$28 - $40/hour reflects the hourly range for this role, depending on experience, skills, and market data.
