Lead system improvements as a Staff Software Developer us on enhancing reliability and scalability within the platform's critical operations.
Wealthsimple seeks a Staff Software Developer to join its Production Engineering team. In this new role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the reliability of our service infrastructure. Your expertise will guide the design and adoption of standards that prevent incidents and enforce best practices across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create strategies to avoid incidents through better engineering standards
• Build incident response tools to streamline mitigation efforts
• Own investigation outcomes from load tests for reliability enhancements
• Mentor colleagues in engineering best practices during reviews
• Identify and resolve recurring failure patterns across services
Requirements:
• 8+ years of software engineering experience in SRE or related areas
• Proven success in improving system reliability at scale
• Strong understanding of distributed architectures
• Experience with load testing and planning improvements
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence teams
