Interac Software Development Internship

Join Interac’s mission in Canada as a Software Development Intern focused on backend development. This internship offers practical experience in a fast-paced digital finance environment.

In this full-time intern role at Interac, you'll be part of the backend service development team, where you'll contribute to meaningful projects that drive digital payments. You'll have opportunities to work with modern technologies such as Java, Docker, and GCP while receiving mentorship from experienced developers. This role includes supporting efforts in application modernization and improving technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance backend services for digital payments

• Collaborate on new feature implementation and testing

• Standardize technical documentation

• Assist in exploring cloud platform integrations

• Contribute to improving unit test coverage

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a computer science or software engineering program

• Proficient in one programming language (Java, Python, etc.)

• Understanding of unit testing frameworks like JUnit

• Exposure to Git for code management

• Eager to learn and adapt in a collaborative environment
