Senior Application Developer

Position: Contract Senior Application Developer Needed
Be part of a key IT initiative as a Senior Application Developer in Toronto. This contract role emphasizes your experience with Java, Python, and microservices.

As a developer, you will engage in all aspects of application development, from design to support, while focusing on system integrations and automations. A solid background in enterprise-level application development and a Bachelor’s degree are required, alongside strong skills in REST APIs and the Ignition platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in end-to-end application development processes

• Develop scalable applications and services

• Create automation solutions using Python and Power Shell

• Design integrations with REST APIs

• Provide ongoing production support and troubleshooting

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

• Minimum of 5 years in enterprise application development

• Proven experience with microservices and REST APIs

• Familiarity with Ignition platform and PLC programming

• Knowledge of SQL databases and reporting
