Senior API Developer

Position: Senior API Developer at Insight Global
Enhance backend applications as a Senior API Developer for an insurance client through Insight Global. Focus on coding microservices and REST APIs using Java Spring Boot and Node.js.

This 6-month contract role emphasizes hands-on programming within Azure environments. You’ll leverage technologies including Azure Kubernetes Service, Docker, and API gateways to build scalable solutions. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in API development, showcasing expertise in Azure services and delivering high-quality code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain microservices using Java Spring Boot

• Implement REST APIs for backend applications

• Code within Azure environments, utilizing AKS and Docker

• Collaborate on leveraging Azure Service Bus and Event Hubs

• Troubleshoot and optimize API performance and scalability

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in API development

• Proficient in Java Spring Boot and Node.js

• Strong grasp of REST APIs and API gateways

• Proven ability to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions

• Experience with identity/secrets management preferred
