Software Development Research Assistant

Join the Sleep and Brain Health Laboratory at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a casual research assistant. Your focus will be software development using signal processing and machine learning on physiological data.

We are looking for two intellectually curious research assistants within the realms of software development.

Your role involves analyzing large-scale data from wearable sensors to predict sleep and neurological outcomes, specifically focusing on disorders such as sleep apnea and Alzheimer’s disease. A background in computer science and strong programming skills are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in coding and maintaining software for data analysis

• Apply signal processing techniques for physiological time series

• Collaborate on machine learning projects related to sleep disorders

• Analyze accelerometry, EEG, and cardiopulmonary data

• Maintain data integrity and documentation for research purposes

Requirements:

• University degree in computer science

• Proficient programming skills necessary for software development

• Experience with signal processing and time series analysis
