Golang Backend Engineer at Stripe

Shape the developer experience at Stripe as a Golang Backend Engineer in Toronto. You will leverage your expertise to enhance SDKs that power over 80% of Stripe’s payment volume.

In this full-time role, you will represent the needs of the Golang community while collaborating with other teams to streamline API authoring. Your experience in Node.js will also help improve our code generation framework for better third-party maintenance. By building idiomatic experiences in our SDKs, you can make a significant impact on developer productivity across multiple programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Golang expert guiding SDK development

• Enhance code generation framework with Node.js

• Collaborate to release APIs in SDKs efficiently

• Support open-source efforts and user engagement

• Lead API design processes and mentor team members

Requirements:

• 6+ years in engineering across varied products

• 3+ years as a Golang software engineer

• Interest in multiple programming languages

• Passion for API design and developer experience
