Join Spotify's Platform team in Toronto as a Software Engineer focused on financial systems. Build data pipelines and backend services that enhance financial accuracy and scalability.
In this role within the Financial Engineering organization, you will enable Spotify to grow by developing reliable data models and backend services tailored for finance teams. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring our financial infrastructure can handle increasing demands for reporting and reconciliation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create elegant solutions for complex financial workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and build high-volume data pipelines on Google Cloud
• Develop backend services using Java for financial operations
• Design datasets for financial reporting and operational insights
• Partner with finance to turn requirements into technical solutions
• Enhance the resilience of financial data pipelines
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend and data-intensive applications
• Skilled in Scala or Java and distributed data processing frameworks
• Experience with orchestration technologies like Airflow
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals like continuous delivery
• Background in financial or regulated data fields is advantageous
