Senior NonStop COBOL Engineer

Shape mission-critical applications as a Senior Non Stop COBOL Software Engineer based in Toronto. Focus on development and support while leveraging Agile methodologies for optimal collaboration.

We are looking for a Senior Non Stop COBOL Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of applications on HPE Non Stop platforms. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Non Stop COBOL, SCOBOL, and DDL, along with a strong background in Agile practices. This position enables you to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and contribute to innovative Dev Ops initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop applications on the HPE Non Stop platform

• Support screen-based transaction processing systems

• Maintain database schemas using DDL for Non Stop SQL/Enscribe

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies

• Troubleshoot production issues with minimal disruption

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Non Stop COBOL

• 3+ years using SCOBOL for application development

• 3+ years working with DDL for database design

• Experience in Agile environments, 3+ years

• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
