Engineering Vice President

Position: Engineering Vice President Role
Join First National as the Vice President of Engineering in Toronto, ON, and drive strategic application engineering initiatives. Enhance software quality, reliability, and modernization across the organization.

This full-time position reports to the Chief Product and Technology Officer, and is tasked with managing the application engineering organization. Your leadership will shape the capabilities needed for effective delivery, helping translate business priorities into actionable engineering plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead engineering managers and application teams

• Improve SDLC practices integrating QA and Dev Sec Ops

• Manage application performance measures and improvement

• Oversee product aligned engineering delivery and plans

• Lead modernization of applications to enhance agility and efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technology field

• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience

• Experience leading QA, release management, and support teams

• Strong grasp of cloud-enabled delivery and security practices

• Financial services expertise preferred but not mandatory
