As a Senior Software Engineer, you will engage in building and maintaining purpose-built APIs that allow AI agents to access Thomson Reuters’ proprietary legal content accurately. Your responsibilities will include creating retrieval components and ensuring precise, contract-driven interfaces for various jurisdictions. The role demands strong Python skills, a focus on AI-assisted development, and a commitment to verified spec-driven practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop APIs for legal content access
• Implement retrieval components with latency budgets
• Write acceptance criteria and maintain eval suites
• Collaborate with research scientists on search optimizations
• Participate in on-call rotation for incidents
Requirements:
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Mastery in Python and API design
• Knowledge of distributed systems and AWS
• Proven track record in operational ownership
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
