Gen AI Developer

We're looking for an experienced GenAI Developer to design and build generative AI applications and data pipelines for a major Canadian bank. The ideal candidate brings strong Python skills, hands-on experience with RAG architectures and vector databases, and the ability to collaborate across cloud platforms and engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Design and develop efficient, maintainable, and reusable Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading in GenAI applications
• Build and integrate GenAI applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Develop, implement, and maintain APIs to integrate GenAI models into applications and workflows
• Conduct research and experiments exploring generative AI techniques including AI agents, hybrid RAG optimization, and workflow orchestration
• Apply expertise in GenAI concepts including document storage, chunking, vector databases, RAG implementation, and basic fine-tuning methods

What you bring

• 6 to 7 years of software development experience with strong Python proficiency
• Hands-on experience building GenAI or AI-powered applications on cloud platforms
• Experience developing and maintaining APIs for model integration
• Working knowledge of RAG pipelines, vector databases, and document chunking strategies
• Eligibility for a mandatory background check

Nice to have

• Experience with Dev Ops and MLOps practices including CI/CD and AI model lifecycle management
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git for building and managing AI pipelines
• Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions for AI model performance and reliability
• Prior collaboration with software engineering and operations teams on AI model integration and deployment

Work setup

• Onsite in Toronto, ON, 4 days per week (non-negotiable)
• 6+ month contract
• English proficiency required
