• Design and develop backend microservices using Python
  .
• Build and maintain APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
  .
• Develop business logic and database‑driven functionality to support platform applications.
• Design and implement database objects, including:
  • Stored procedures
  • Tables and schemas
  • Data pipelines and ETL processes
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
• Optimize database performance, data access patterns, and backend services.
• Contribute to overall data platform architecture and best practices.

• 5-7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and microservices architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with FastAPI
  , Flask
  , or similar Python web frameworks.
• Strong database development experience, including SQL programming and data modeling.
• Experience building data pipelines and backend data services.
• Understanding of software design patterns, API development, and distributed systems.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability.

• Experience with Snowflake is highly preferred, though direct administration of Snowflake is not required

• Experience developing database functionality within cloud‑based data platforms.
• Background in full‑stack development is acceptable, provided the candidate's recent experience is focused on backend and database services.

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 and $140,000 annually (or $65.00–70.00 per hour). Pay may vary by geography, skills, education, and experience.
