Node.js Developer - Github & CI​/CD

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer with strong backend development experience and hands-on expertise in Git Hub for source code management, branching strategies, code reviews, CI/CD integration, and collaborative development. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications while following modern software engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Build, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

Develop server-side logic, database integrations, and application workflows.

Utilize Git Hub for:

- Repository management

- Branching and merging strategies

- Pull Requests (PRs)

- Code reviews

- Release management

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions or similar tools.

Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and Dev Ops teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and actively participate in sprint ceremonies.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Node.js development.

Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript.

Hands-on experience with Git Hub, including:

- Repository management

- Branching and merging strategies

- Pull Requests (PRs)

- Code reviews

- Git Hub Actions

- Release management

Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.

Strong knowledge of:

- REST APIs

- JSON

- JWT

- OAuth

- API security

Experience with databases such as:

- MongoDB

- PostgreSQL

- MySQL

- DynamoDB

Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.

Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as:

- AWS

- Azure

- GCP

Understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and secure coding standards.

Preferred Skills

Experience with microservices architecture.

Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.

Exposure to Dev Ops practices and CI/CD implementation.

Familiarity with monitoring tools such as:

- Splunk

- Datadog

- Grafana

- ELK Stack

Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, or large Enterprise environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
