Data Engineer

Position: Data Engineer I at TD Bank
Shape the future of data with TD Bank as a Data Engineer I in Toronto. This hybrid role focuses on building secure data pipelines using Azure technologies and high-performance ETL processes.

As part of the Data Strategy & Implementation team, you will collaborate closely with data engineers and analysts. You’ll design and troubleshoot Databricks notebooks and manage end-to-end data ingestion, crucial for analytics and reporting. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring timely and secure data flow used across various business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and debug Databricks notebooks for data ingestion

• Onboard new data sources into the ingestion framework

• Establish secure connectivity and troubleshoot access to databases

• Write scalable ETL code using Python and Spark

• Collaborate with engineering and partner teams for data delivery

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks

• Strong Python programming skills and knowledge of SQL

• Understanding of networking fundamentals and API security

• Proven ability in building reliable data pipelines

• Familiarity with data governance and quality practices
