In this role you will design and develop data integration components that support Allstate Canada’s insurance agent compensation measurement and reporting system as well as related business‑intelligence reporting. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain data integration processes, feeds to data warehouse environments, and cloud‑based data pipelines.
Accountabilities- Own the data integration capabilities within the agent compensation and sales reporting team using Microsoft ETL development tools and MS SQL Server.
- Create new solutions to enable accurate sales tracking and reporting.
- Develop new capabilities and support integration between an Oracle DB and SQL Server.
- Develop new data pipelines and support integration between SQL Server and Power BI.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and views.
- Write Windows shell scripts for job automation, scheduling, file handling, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot ETL failures and resolve production issues.
- Extensive experience in ETL development and data integration projects involving large data volumes.
- Hands‑on development experience with the MSBI Stack:
- SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
- SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
- Solid development experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and T‑SQL stored procedures.
- Experience in developing and maintaining ETL workflows using SSIS.
- Experience with Windows scripting and Power Shell.
- Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
- Experience with SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services).
- Experience working with Oracle Database PL/SQL, packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
