Role Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Fintech engineering portfolio in Toronto. The Senior Software Engineer, Fintech is a hands‑on technical leader responsible for building, operating, and evolving critical client‑facing features within Clio Manage, our industry‑leading case management platform. This role focuses on the invoicing workflows that help attorneys summarize their work and produce accurate invoices for clients.
Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional software engineering teams across payments, accounting, and reporting to ensure an end‑to‑end user journey.
- Own the full lifecycle of your work: design, implementation, monitoring, iteration, and long‑term support.
- Work with developers to solve complex problems and provide elegant solutions to Clio customers.
- Participate in an agile environment with full‑stack developers on diverse projects.
- Learn new technologies, improve your Ruby on Rails expertise, and self‑propel improvement.
- Self‑review and provide constructive feedback on code within your team and across Clio.
- Collaborate with teams to diagnose problems, understand root causes, and build solutions that span multiple areas.
- Teach, learn, and propogate knowledge within the team.
- Experience building web applications at scale with Ruby on Rails.
- Fluency in adopting new technologies quickly and self‑management in distributed environments.
- Proven success in mentoring within agile processes and large‑scale SaaS products.
- Strong knowledge base to tackle complex technical problems.
- Documented track record of projects, successes, and lessons learned.
- Clear communication skills and relationship‑building with teammates and customers.
- Self‑mandated improvement mindset, willingness to leverage AI for enhancing skills.
