Senior AS400 Developer – IBM iSeries

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AS400 Developer with deep expertise in IBM iSeries technologies, including ILE RPG, SQLRPGLE, CL, and DB2. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize both interactive and batch applications that support mission‑critical payment processing systems. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands‑on development skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams across development and testing.

• Advanced proficiency in ILE RPG, SQLRPGLE, RPG III/IV, and CLP/ILE-CL.
• Strong experience with DB2 for iSeries, including external and internal file descriptions.
• Familiarity with modules, service programs, binding directories, and ILE architecture.
• Experience with Programming Development Manager (PDM) and query tools.
• Minimum 7+ years of hands‑on AS400 development experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex AS400 solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for AS400 batch jobs.
• Experience mentoring and leading development teams.
• Exposure to Agile or hybrid development methodologies.
• Understanding of payment processing systems or financial applications is a plus.
