Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced Application Programmer III consultant to support enterprise data processing and application development initiatives within a large Canadian organization. The engagement involves developing and maintaining Python-based applications, optimizing SQL Server performance, supporting production environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

• Develop and maintain Python-based jobs integrated with enterprise job scheduling frameworks.
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, data models, and reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, application defects, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement job scheduling, monitoring, and alerting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technology and support teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure code quality through testing, logging, documentation, and adherence to development standards.
• Support application releases, deployments, and environment management activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to data processing and application performance.
• Strong hands-on experience developing applications using Python.
• Experience with data processing frameworks and enterprise job scheduling frameworks.
• Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including:
• Query optimization and indexing
• Database performance tuning
• Experience designing and supporting ETL and data processing workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills within production environments.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong ownership and accountability.

• Experience working with enterprise data platforms or within the banking or financial services industry.
• Exposure to enterprise job orchestration frameworks and batch processing systems.
• Knowledge of Power Shell or other scripting languages for automation.
• Understanding of enterprise data pipelines and upstream/downstream data dependencies.

This is a business-to-business engagement. Candidates must represent an incorporated entity, hold a valid business number, maintain appropriate insurance, and invoice for services rendered.
