Position: High-Level Synthesis Software Engineer
Join Microchip's FPGA software team in Toronto as a Software Engineer focusing on HLS technology. Drive innovation in FPGA design with expert compiler development.

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in shaping the Microchip FPGA design workflow through advanced compiler development, emphasizing LLVM/MLIR. Work within the HLS group to develop new features, optimize performance, and tackle complex engineering challenges that enhance customer outputs. Collaborate with skilled engineers in an agile environment making impactful contributions to the EDA industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and optimize high-level synthesis compiler passes

• Improve hardware architecture power and performance

• Evaluate customer applications for enhancements and new HLS features

Requirements:

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related area

• 5+ years of software engineering experience

• Proficient in C/C++, with LLVM/MLIR experience

• Strong knowledge of algorithms and digital design principles

• Familiar with scripting languages such as Python or TCL
