Senior Java Software Engineer

Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite initially, transitioning to 4 days onsite)

Duration: 12-Month Contract (Extension Possible)

• We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Azure Cloud, and SQL Server to join a collaborative Agile team delivering enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with strong coding skills, cloud-native development experience, and the ability to contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
• You’ll work within a Scaled Agile environment, participate in backlog refinement, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build high-quality, cloud-based applications using modern development practices.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications.
• Develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
  .
• Build responsive front-end applications using Angular
  .
• Develop cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure
  .
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies.
• Apply software design patterns and best coding practices.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize Git Hub for source control and Jira for Agile project management.

• 7+ years of Full Stack Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• Java
• Spring Boot
• Angular
• MS SQL Server
• Experience building cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns.
• 7+ years of experience using Git Hub and Jira.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scaled Agile environments.

• Kafka.
• Banking or Financial Services experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Graduate degree is considered an asset.

• Proactive problem solver who can identify technical gaps and recommend improvements.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Collaborative team player comfortable working in Agile pods.
• Passionate about modern software engineering and cloud technologies.
