Position: Senior Engineer for Insurance Platform Innovation
Lead the evolution of insurance technology at Instant Risk Coverage as a Senior Core Platform Engineer. Focus on API development while working hybrid from Toronto.
This role is central to establishing the technological foundations of our platform. We're on the lookout for a Senior Engineer with extensive background in backend development and integration-layer systems. You'll leverage your skills in Node.js, Type Script, and various integration methods to create cohesive connections that benefit customers and partners alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement core APIs and interfaces

• Handle architectural and service boundary decisions

• Coordinate integrations with external service providers

• Balance engineering quality and speed effectively

• Guide and mentor junior engineers through code reviews
Requirements:

• 6-10 years of backend engineering experience

• Deep knowledge of Node.js and Type Script

• Understanding of REST, GraphQL, and webhooks

• Familiar with relational databases like PostgreSQL

• Strong communication skills for cross-functional work
