COBOL Developer for Banking Solutions

Become a Mainframe Developer with over 6 years' experience in customer risk assessment applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2. This hybrid role in Toronto offers 2 days onsite per week.

Our banking client is expanding its GBME – Risk Technology team, seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer for a 6-month contract with excellent extension potential. You will focus on the development and maintenance of applications crucial for customer risk assessments. Work alongside a team of five, collaborating on initiatives related to customer collections and credit adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL and JCL

• Perform unit testing for COBOL/DB2 modules

• Support QA Testing execution and defect resolution

• Collaborate with team for enhancements and improvements

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2

• Hands-on with version control tools like Endevor

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field

• Experience in financial industry is a plus

• Ability to work effectively in a development-focused role
