Salesforce Developer
The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for the creation of tailored Salesforce and NimbleAMS solutions that address TRREB’s business needs, improve the user experience and provide appropriate data to support decision-making. This will require a hands-on involvement in all aspects of Salesforce Platform and NimbleAMS applications development, configuration and implementation, ensuring excellent performance, appropriate scalability and adequate security of all Salesforce Platform and NimbleAMS applications.
The incumbent is responsible for analysing, documenting, designing, developing, configuring and implementing the applications and any custom features and enhancements for TRREB’s Salesforce Platform/NimbleAMS environments. For this purpose, the incumbent will be required to work collaboratively with various internal departments, third-party service providers, Salesforce support and NimbleAMS implementation/support teams.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Assist with the overall design and architecture of the Salesforce Service, Experience and Marketing Clouds, LWC components and NimbleAMS platform, translating business requirements into well-architected solutions and ensuring the solutions align with TRREB’s overall business objectives.
- Develop and test Apex (classes and triggers), Visualforce/LWC, (based on specific requirements) custom configurations/solutions, interfaces, enhancements, integrations, and data migration elements using the Salesforce and NimbleAMS platforms.
- Participate in the Salesforce and NimbleAMS systems change management process, implementing required improvements and enhancements to the system.
- Ensure that the Salesforce/NimbleAMS system is structured to easily align with TRREB’s future growth and scalability objectives.
- Document custom user interface including Visualforce pages/Lightning pages, Lightning Web Components and Experience Cloud.
- Assist with the integration of the Salesforce/NimbleAMS system with other internal and external systems using any required APIs and/or middleware as required.
- Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write/maintain test cases for all custom development.
- Implement and deploy new Salesforce applications, and updates to existing Salesforce/NimbleAMS applications on a timely basis, ensuring a seamless experience and minimal downtime for users.
- Monitor the Salesforce/NimbleAMS system’s performance and undertake proactive maintenance as required.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the organization’s policies and operations, in order to better understand the business needs of TRREB members and staff.
- Assist with TRREB special events, including on-site assistance at the event as required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned from time to time.
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will follow safe work procedures, knowing and complying with all health and safety regulations. Personal protection and safety equipment will be used if/when required and they will promptly report any injury or illness, unsafe acts or unsafe conditions immediately to their immediate supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Salesforce certifications, such as developer, consultant, administrator and architect certification are preferred.
Experience:
6+ years of extensive hands-on experience with complex Salesforce
development, customization, and configuration.
A track record of successful Salesforce project implementation in Salesforce Service, Experience and Marketing Clouds is required.
Advanced proficiency in a variety of Salesforce features including, but not limited
to:
- Creating custom objects and fields
- Flows
- Process Builder
- Validation Rules
- SOQL and SQL query languages
- Visual Force/LWC pages
- Custom Apex Controllers
- Salesforce security features
Advanced proficiency in Salesforce development tools, such as Apex, Visualforce,
Object-oriented programming and experience with Webservices (JSON), Github/lab, Dev Ops, etc.
In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architectures, data models, and best practices.
Proven ability to design and implement scalable, efficient Salesforce solutions and integrating them with other systems using APIs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work independently and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasional overtime may be required for special projects, system maintenance or to meet implementation deadlines throughout the year; therefore, after hours or weekend work may be required.
This position will be exposed to highly confidential material and/or information. Every effort must be made to ensure that sensitive information and/or materials that are critical in nature are properly stored and secured.
A considerable amount of time will be spent working with computers.
