We are seeking a contract Senior Mainframe Developer for our consulting client in downtown Toronto. This role requires expertise in Mainframe DB2, COBOL, and application development. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining COBOL and JCL applications through the System Development Life Cycle while collaborating with business and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain Mainframe COBOL and JCL applications

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications

• Develop and execute unit tests and integration plans

• Engage in full System Development Life Cycle activities

• Participate in production support and technical reviews

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of experience as a Mainframe lead developer

• Proficiency in CICS, COBOL, DB2, JCL coding

• Knowledge in application design and deployment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with Solution Delivery Methodology artifacts
