Python Developer - Azure

NTT DATA's Client is seeking a Python Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure. The resource should have hands‑on experience in Python development, API development, data processing, cloud integrations, and working with Azure services in an enterprise environment.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python‑based applications, services, and APIs.
• Build and deploy scalable solutions using Azure cloud services.
• Develop REST APIs and backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask.
• Knowledge of messaging queues such as KAFKA.
• Work with Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Service, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure Data Factory.
• Integrate applications with external systems, databases, APIs, and cloud services.
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines using Python and Azure services.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Implement authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, and error handling.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, data engineers, QA teams, and client stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and support deployment activities.
• Follow coding standards, security best practices, and cloud governance guidelines.

• Strong hands‑on experience in Python programming.
• Experience with REST API development using FastAPI, Flask.
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud services.
• Experience with App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and Key Vault.
• Good understanding of cloud‑native application design and microservices architecture.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Ability to write clean, reusable, well‑documented, and testable code.
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Entra , OAuth, JWT, managed identities, and service principals.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ‑204.

• 7+ years of overall IT experience.
• 3+ years of Python development.
• 2+ years of hands‑on Azure experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ‑900.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for Canada‑based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is $65 to $75/hour CAD.
