Senior Salesforce Developer

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer with over a decade of enterprise-scale experience to lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Salesforce-based CRM solutions. In this role, you will modernize and support critical municipal health inspection and investigation programs, including Dine Safe, Body Safe, Rabies, and Food Safety tracking systems.

You will act as a key technical authority driving full-lifecycle solutions from intake through to complex case management, mobile field enablement, and public data publishing. The ideal candidate holds active Salesforce certifications and possesses robust integration capabilities alongside a strong understanding of data controls, privacy compliance, and system governance.

Contract Duration: 6-month contract with a 6-month potential extension

Responsibilities
1. Application Architecture & Custom Development
Design, code, and maintain robust enterprise applications using Apex classes, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura components, Visualforce, and advanced Flows.

Implement custom configurations and extensions within Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Analytics Cloud (Tableau CRM/Einstein).

Adhere to Object-Oriented coding practices, clean code guidelines, and design patterns to enhance application maintainability and scalability.

2. Integration & Public Data Provisioning
Architect and manage real-time and batch integrations between Salesforce and multiple core business systems using tools like Apache NiFi, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.

Build and support secure APIs (REST/SOAP Web Services) to provision data for public-facing reporting platforms such as Dine Safe and Body Safe.

Secure all data transits in compliance with access, privacy, and security legislation (including JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL protocols).

3. Mobile Field Capabilities & Automation
Develop and enable native/hybrid mobile application capabilities allowing field inspectors to capture audit data in real time without connectivity constraints.

Configure complex, automated document generation engines for immediate provisioning of compliance correspondence, legal letters, and operational workflows.

4. Testing, Data Migration & Governance
Lead data profiling, cleansing, and validation routines during major migration cycles to maintain absolute data integrity.

Prepare comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and execution scripts covering unit, functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Use tools such as Jira or Salesforce Solution Manager to track code anomalies, manage the delivery backlog, and minimize risk exposure.

Provide structured technical coaching and knowledge transfer to upskill internal staff on Salesforce best practices.

Qualifications
Core Experience
10+ years of hands-on technical delivery, project planning, or application design experience within government jurisdictions or large private-sector environments.

5+ years of expert-level programmatic development utilizing Apex, LWC, APIs, and Salesforce App Exchange deployments.

5+ years implementing and configuring Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Analytics Cloud ecosystems.

5+ years of proven experience establishing multi-system integrations via event-driven or streaming architectures (Kafka, Apache NiFi, RabbitMQ).

5+ years building or extending Salesforce-integrated native/hybrid mobile applications.

Certifications & Technical Standards
Active Status:
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer (I or II) and/or Certified Platform App Builder.

Elite capabilities across traditional and modern project frameworks (Agile, Scrum, iterative, and classic Waterfall methodologies).

Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
