Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer (Front-End) to support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications. The successful candidate will work within an Agile environment, translating technical requirements into high-quality, testedsolutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Translatetechnical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
  • Develop detailed programming specifications.
  • Compiledata-driven programs and conduct unit testing.
  • Maintainapplications and software components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during software operation andimplementation.
  • Provide technical assistance during implementations, conversions, and migrations.
  • Participate in application design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and documentation activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams throughoutthe SDLC.
  • Conductdesign walkthrough sessions with project teams.
  • Providepost-implementation support and resolve technical issues.
  • Createuser and system documentation as required.
Required Qualifications General Skills
  • Experience in programming and analysis.
  • Experience supporting specialized software packages.
  • Abilityto collaborate effectively with IT professionals throughout the SDLC.

  • Experience using object-oriented and/or third-generation development tools.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages.
  • Experience with application design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies.
  • Experience using information retrieval packages and query languages.
  • Experience with one or more communications protocols.
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements from diverse business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication,interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstratedability to work collaboratively and meet project deadlines.
Front-End Technical Skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience using React, Next.js, and Jamstack.
  • Experience with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Figma or similar design tools.
  • Working knowledge of Dev Ops practices, task boards, pipelines, and relatedtooling.
Experience Requirements
  • 2-5years of experience as an Intermediate Front-End Developer.
  • Experience supporting large-scale government or banking applications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in cloud service models including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments using Kanban/task boards.
Communication Skills
  • Strong documentation skills, including preparation of reports, reviews, andassessments.
  • Abilityto communicate ideas and recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Strong customer service orientation when working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Abilityto communicate technical designs and development approaches in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Knowledge and experience developing internet-ready applications.
  • Knowledge and experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
  • Understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
  • Experience working with middleware and gateway technologies.
  • Experience reviewing, analyzing, modifying, testing, and debugging installationscripts.
  • Knowledge of AODA standards and accessibility best practices.
Nice to Have
  • Priorpublic sector experience.
