Job Description & How to Apply Below
As a principal technical specialist, you will bridge the gap between application architecture standards, security requirements, and scalable cloud deployments. Operating within an Agile framework (hybrid/onsite in Toronto), you will design fault-tolerant microservices, administer CI/CD build environments, champion Git Hub Copilot integration, and drive Dev Ops best practices. This role demands a seasoned full-stack engineer who can independently model data, write unit and automated test suites, and mentor development teams in both traditional and AI-assisted engineering practices.
Location:
Toronto, ON (Hybrid / Onsite)

Advantages
Modern AI-Driven Stack:
Hands-on integration of Git Hub Copilot and GenAI tools into active software development workflows, code reviews, and pair programming.
Full-Stack Engineering Focus:
End-to-end technical execution across microservices (Spring Boot), frontend frameworks (Angular/React), and cloud pipelines.
Dev Ops & Cloud Leadership:
Direct influence over Jenkins build environments, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and cloud migration strategies.
Collaborative Mentorship Role:
Opportunity to coach team members, drive retrospectives, and shape future-state software development processes.

Design, develop, and document full-stack solutions and technical components to meet evolving business needs and integrate GenAI tools where applicable.
Ensure application components align with corporate architecture standards, performance benchmarks, security guidelines, and scalability goals.
Perform relational data modeling, design data access logic, and optimize database queries using SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle databases.
Design and implement fault-tolerant, highly available microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot and related technologies.
Participate in daily Agile SCRUM ceremonies, update JIRA tasks, and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical test scenarios.
Champion Git workflows and administer repositories, including setting up and customizing Git Hub Copilot for code generation and peer reviews.
Maintain Jenkins build environments, CI/CD pipelines, and Dev Ops tooling (including Sonar Qube quality gates).
Research, evaluate, and recommend cloud migration strategies to support modernization initiatives.
Develop frontend, server-side, and data-access code using Java, Angular/React, TypeScript, and REST APIs.
Write and execute unit tests and automated test suites using frameworks like Jest and Selenium.
Conduct peer code and documentation reviews, ensuring high software quality and alignment with security standards.
