Altera seeks an IP Firmware Design Engineer in Toronto, Ontario to drive innovation in FPGA solutions. Collaborate on advanced firmware for high-speed memory interfaces in a dynamic role.
In this key position, you will join Altera's IP Solutions team, focusing on firmware development for DDR and LPDDR devices. Your expertise in digital logic hardware and scripting languages will be essential for the architecture and design of state-of-the-art memory algorithms. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams to ensure seamless development and integration with Altera’s CAD tool, Quartus Prime.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and design firmware based on DDR and LPDDR specifications
• Develop calibration firmware for high-density memory
• Integrate device support with CAD tools
• Conduct verification with advanced methodologies
• Support hardware power-on and debugging tasks
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
• 2+ years in digital logic design or verification
• 2+ years in scripting or programming languages
• FPGA design experience is preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
