Senior QA Automation Engineer - Treasury/Balance Sheet Management

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior QA Automation Engineer
-Treasury / Balance Sheet Management. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for complex data pipelines, large-volume data validation, and cloud-based analytics platforms. Your expertise will help improve data accuracy, validation processes, and automation coverage, ensuring high-quality results across enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for data pipelines, APIs, and cloud data platforms using tools such as Selenium, PyTest, and Python.
- Create automated controls for data reconciliation, completeness checks, schema validation, and anomaly detection across multiple systems.
- Design and implement test strategies for Azure data solutions, including Azure Databricks, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and PySpark.
- Build automated validation for REST APIs, data ingestion processes, and downstream outputs.
- Collaborate with testing leads, business users, developers, and platform teams to understand requirements and define test coverage.
- Utilize AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Git Hub Copilot, and agent-based workflows to accelerate testing and automation tasks responsibly.
- 6+ years of experience in QA automation and testing complex data or application platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, Perl, or similar scripting languages for automation utility development.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, PyTest, API testing, regression, and functional automation.
- Strong SQL skills with experience testing large data volumes, reconciliation, and data quality.
- Practical knowledge of cloud data platforms, including Azure Databricks, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
- Experience using AI-enabled tools to enhance testing processes.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with technical and business teams.
- Experience with Databricks notebooks, PySpark validation, Delta Lake testing, and lakehouse architecture.
- Knowledge of observability and orchestration tools such as Great Expectations, Deequ, DBT, Airflow, Azure Dev Ops, and Jenkins.
- Background in financial services, treasury, capital markets, regulatory reporting, or balance sheet management.
- Experience creating detailed test documentation, defect reports, and audit-compliant validation artifacts.
